Toys for Kade

I have seen the little tag blankies and am working on making one of those for Kade, but I have SO much fabric left from Kades bedding, that I am trying to use it up. I made a couple toys for him last night with the minky and some of the fabrics - they are so cute!
Here is the crinkly tag chewy and the elephant. I am also making a giraffe - a BIG giraffe. The tag toy has a piece of plastic wrapper in it, so it 'crinkles' when you move it.

Aww - cute little elephant - sleepy little man.

We're not in Texas anymore...

After the baby shower - Kade and I headed up to Dighton, Kansas for Kade to meet his Grandpa, Uncle Michale, Uncle Damon, and Great Grandma H. He looks so worried in this picture. We went up there in Jess's van, which has low windows so he could actually see out the sides of the car. He was so fixed on everything outside.
Jess was playing with Kade - this is my FAVORITE smile - just so sweet.
He was loving his chat - I don't even think she was doing anything - he was just so happy.
Jess bought this activity mat for Aniston and she let Kade play on it. I am going to have to buy him one, because he played on that thing for hours! He would find himself in the mirror and start talking to himself and smiling at his reflection. Such a smart boy!!

Here are a couple videos of Kade playing on Aniston's activity mat:

Grandma stopped by the Consignment store in Colby to see what they had for Kade, if anything, and came home with this. A toy that he can kick with his feet to make lights and music and the toys on the front move...and when he can sit up, it changes positions and he can use his hands to do the same. $3.00 for the toy, an old toothbrush, a bowl of bleach, and 2 hours of me scrubbing that thing CLEAN later - we introduced Kade to the toy...

I was actually very surprised at how fast he learned that kicking this thing makes the music and lights!
(In this picture Kade looks just like Josh!!)

Sitting by the pool...continuing from previous post...

...we went down to the pool, but Kade was too sleepy to get to play with the other kids. He just sat on the sidelines with Grandaddy and watched the kids swim.

My sleepy baby boy.

Cami (Jess's daughter) - such a cutie!!!
Sarah (my cousin) with Cami and Jordan (my sister) - Cami LOVED playing with Sarah.

Chance (Jess's son) - cute kid - in this picture anyways! :)

I have NO idea WHAT he was doing - it was pretty crazy though!!

Grandparents and Hotels

These are just some random pictures I took while in Borger for Jess's shower. We went to Dumas to spend a little time with my Grandparents. Kade fell asleep while Grandaddy was napping - so we laid Kade down with him for a sweet picture. Precious.

Back at the hotel - Kade had just gotten a clean diaper - which is one of his happiest times. He was talking and dancing with Grandmother. But then...
Something happened and he was not a happy fella.
But Grandaddy saved the day!
All the kids were down at the pool - so we decided to go too...

Jess's Baby Shower

Jess had her baby shower in Borger on June 23rd. Kade and I drove up there for the weekend and had a great time visiting with family and friends. Here are just a couple pictures from her shower.
Jess opening some of her gifts - she got so many cute clothes for Aniston.

Jess's friend Cassie refinished this dresser and painted it. They displayed all of the stuff they bought for her in it - it was SUCH a cute idea. I wish I were that creative.

Kade eating one of the baby bottle cookies! :) Little cutie.

The 'Favor Cake' and baby blocks I made for Jess & Aniston.

Kade Deer

Kade and I went on a trip up to Kansas in June - during Harvest. I wanted to get a picture of him in one of my Grandpa's combine tires in his overalls and cowboy boots, but time flew by so fast and I did not get the chance to go out to the farm. LUCKILY!!! On our way home, Lance pulled over at a gas station where there just happened to be a John Deer combine up on a trailer! I mosied over and got his picture in the wheel! We went to leave, and Dierk had decided to lock us out of our running truck! HA!! Long story short - we were rescued by the local Sherrif. Moral of the story - take your keys out of the truck if you are going to leave a dog in there!

Fallen Behind

I have not had my camera charger until yesterday, so I have fallen behind on posting pictures for everyone...I promise though - I am going to be posting a lot this week to catch up!!!
